Test and Measurement Hire have specific test instruments capable of determining Flicker Health and Safety considerations.

Flicker is a measurement that simulates the eye/brain response to the change in an incandescent light bulb’s output due to variations in the RMS voltage. These variations fall in the frequency range of 0.01 to 30Hz. A flicker PST value greater than 1 is deemed to be objectionable to most people and can be adverse to a good enviroment.

Flicker measurement is divided into two categories: PST (Perception Short Term) and PLT (Perception Long Term).
